Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance operations in both the main operational plant and surface treatment plant. This role ensures optimal equipment reliability, preventive maintenance compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to support production efficiency and safety standards. The manager will oversee maintenance teams, budgets, and vendor relationships while driving strategic alignment for both plants.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Oversight: Direct and support maintenance supervisor and teams ensuring consistent execution of maintenance strategies and adherence to company standards. 
  • Preventive Maintenance Program: Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). 
  • Resource Planning: Allocate resources effectively, including labor, parts, and tools, to meet maintenance schedules and project deadlines. 
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage maintenance budget, ensuring cost control and efficient use of resources. 
  • Vendor Coordination: Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors for equipment servicing, upgrades, and specialized maintenance activities. 
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations; champion a culture of safety across all sites. Ensure Operating conditions as per the OSHA Regs for Industrial Establishments, IATF16949 and ISO14000 standards and all other company policies and procedures.  
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement; implement best practices across locations. 
  • Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly reports on maintenance performance, KPIs, and project status to senior leadership. 
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned to support organizational goals.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field (preferred). 
  • Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role. 
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems (SAP experience a plus). 
  • Proven track record in managing budgets and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Metal experience - preferred but not required. 
  • CAD experience for Plant Layout a plus.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent use of computer with repetitive mouse use, keyboarding, and visual demands for inspecting, planning, reporting, and communication.
