This is a Remote Position, and the right candidate will live and be able to travel within Central Mexico including but not limited to Mexico City, Mexico State, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Queretaro. The Technical Sales Account Manager is responsible for understanding our customers’ technical needs and proposing the right solutions, while also driving sales for our product portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of our products and the skill to explain complex technical ideas in a clear and concise manner. The person in this role will lead in technical areas to assist customers with product selection and configurations and use sales skills to support the Mexico Region Sales Manager to build relationships, negotiate deals, and close sales.

Role and responsibilities
  • Assumes a direct rapport with customers for all issues including, coordinating all contact between customer and ARaymond, including Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Materials Control & Accounting.
  • Coordinates and manages customer requirements within ARaymond, including Quoting, Sample Submissions (Proto & Production), Engineering, Engineering Projects, & Payments.
  • Increases sales as per Business Plan guidelines. This is to be accomplished through contact with Purchasing, Engineering, and by cultivating new accounts to grow the business.
  • Deep understanding of the company's products and services, particularly how they integrate into the customer’s systems.
  • Providing technical support during the pre-sales and post-sales process, including supporting customers select the right products, explaining specifications, and addressing any technical challenges.
  • Works with customer to develop product specifications and drive ARaymond print position on Strategic POM vehicles.
  • Manages application development at the customer as the technical lead for the sales team.
  • Track and follow up on testing for customer production lines before SOP´s.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying engineering plans and related customer documents, consulting with engineers, operations, and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
  • Working with engineering teams to solve technical issues that arise during product development or integration.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies to win new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Liaising between the customer and internal teams, such as engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure that the project meets customer specifications and timelines.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, customer needs, and competitor products to identify new business opportunities.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Supports researching and developing new products.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial queries.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with key customers.
  • Provides technical training to customers and staff as needed.
Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of technical sales or comparable role.
  • 2+ years of experience providing technical solutions in the automotive manufacturing industry. 
  • 5+ years of experience developing metal and plastic fastener and assembly systems, or comparable products.

  • Capable of conducting technical and sales presentations to key clients
  • Ability to develop and grow customer base and generate sales to support business unit goals.
  • Understanding of German /American/Chinese OEM´S timelines. (SOP, EOP, PA, Running change, etc).
  • Understanding of business intelligence study´s in the region or territory.
  • Must have a valid Passport to travel globally - United States, Canada, Europe, Asia
  • Must be able to travel over 50% of the time
