You will use your construction or architectural background to develop fastening and connection solutions that are truly buildable under Japan-specific conditions. In this role, you will develop the market by working directly with Japanese general contractors, housing companies, and construction stakeholders, introducing ARaymond’s construction solutions such as wall clip systems, module-to-module connectors etc. This is not a typical sales role. It is a solution-driven position where your site knowledge and technical judgment are your main strengths.
Role and responsibilities
Engage with general contractors and builders from a construction execution perspective
Leverage your on-site experience to identify and develop business opportunities
Translate site constraints, constructability, detailing, and sequencing into practical, buildable solutions
Participate in technical discussions using drawings and specifications
Support projects from early design through execution
Act as a bridge between construction sites and global engineering teams
Feed real-site insights back into product and solution development
Education and experience
Background in architecture or construction, with hands-on site experience in Japan
Strong understanding of:
1/ Site operations and subcontractor coordination
2/ Construction sequencing, tolerances, and quality standards
3/ Japan-specific construction constraints
5+ years of relevant experience
Able to read architectural / structural drawings
Comfortable discussing technical topics in Japanese
Skills
Business-level English
Experience in offsite / modular construction
Knowledge of fastening systems, anchors, or construction hardware
Experience engaging at early design / planning stages
