Working in a clean, green and high-tech production environment, you’ll help build cutting-edge fastening and assembly systems for the everyday innovations we all rely on.

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, performs all tasks necessary to ensure the customers receive quality parts in a timely manner. Maintains a high level of accuracy in a clean and efficient manner.

Role and responsibilities
  • Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures and regulations.
  • Off-loads product from assigned injection molding machines as documented on the OIS including:
    • Ensures parts that are bagged match the first piece inspection parts.
    • Read/Understand Operator Instruction sheet, including use of gages.
    • Weighs product to confirm count.
    • Affixes the correct label to the bag.
    • Places into the appropriate carton.
    • Verifies the label is correct, per process sheet, and in proper location on the carton.
  • Responsible for 5-S in their assigned area by always maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as ensuring all previously run parts and materials have been removed from the press area and any spilled material is cleaned immediately.
  • Participate in and contribute to ATOMS CI and OpEx initiatives and provide input on how to continuously improve our safety, quality, and cost performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Overtime (Occasionally Mandatory)

 

Education and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven alertness, precision, and methodical attributes.
  • Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of 5S and SMED philosophy – preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in injection molding – preferred, but not required
  • Manufacturing experience – preferred, but not required
  • Basic computer skills – preferred, but not required
Skills
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds.
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and walking on a cement floor daily.
  • Visual demands while looking at parts.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S.
