About the job

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all presses and equipment, along with some building maintenance. Participates in Continuous Improvement activities to support company objectives.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues and repair presses as necessary to prevent downtime.
  • Follow Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Fabricate and repair equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed.
  • Perform building maintenance as needed.
  • Use of safe job procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years’ experience working in a maintenance repair position.
  • Previous experience in injection molding machine maintenance/ repair preferred but not required.
  • Some knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) preferred but not required.
  • Some knowledge of robotics preferred but not required.
  • Some college courses or technical school preferred but not required.
  • SAP experience preferred, but not required.

 

 

Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills for entering data in the preventative maintenance database.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, climbing, and walking.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Able to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
