About the job
Performs inspection verification and monitors processes associated with the Operations activity. Supports activities in the hold area and acts as the Quality Liaison to the plant floor personnel with a focus on the Multi-Contact program. Participates in Continuous Improvement activities to support company objectives.
Roles and responsibilities
- Inspection & Verification:
- Perform all Start‑Up procedure inspections, including First Shot and Last Shot verifications.
- Verify that Plastic Technicians complete required part inspections per Operator Instruction Sheets (OIS).
- Conduct lab testing such as leakage, tensile, dielectric, and other required procedures.
- Participate in GR&R studies to support measurement system reliability.
- Quality Control & Documentation:
- Create Internal Quality Alerts based on identified part or process issues.
- Document inspection results and comments accurately in Raypro and other reporting systems.
- Place suspect product on hold, verify inspection results, and release parts appropriately.
- Maintain electronic archives of inspection and testing results.
- Process Support & Auditing:
- Conduct daily audits of Process Technicians, including inspection accuracy, gage use, and reporting.
- Perform containment activities and additional lab testing as required.
- Perform scheduled internal audits and maintain internal concern logs.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Communicate quality‑related issues during shift meetings and cross‑functional discussions.
- Provide support to Quality Engineers and Operations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist in the disposition of held product and support sample preparation for customer requirements.
- Perform other related duties and projects aligned with organizational objectives.
Education and experience
- High School Diploma
- 1+ year previous experience in a Quality related position preferred
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Experience using lab equipment and test procedures.
- Proven alertness, precision, and methodical attributes.
- Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven drive, ambition, and positive mindset.
Skills and requirements
- Proficient in use of laboratory equipment and standardized test procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- High ethical standards and ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and methodical work habits.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Regular standing, bending, lifting, and walking on a cement floor.
- Ability to visually inspect parts with precision.
- Frequent use of computer for documentation and reporting.
