We are looking for a Design Engineer responsible for developing customer-oriented product designs, analyzing technical requirements, and performing key engineering activities. The role includes creating 3D designs and technical drawings while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and manufacturable solutions. The position will report directly to the Engineering Team Executive and will be located in our production facility in Gebze (Kocaeli).
Cargo y responsabilidades
- Analyze and interpret customer technical requirements and specifications.
- Conduct product benchmarking and technical research activities.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to introduce existing products and new design concepts.
- Support the Business Development (Sales) team during the RFQ phase by performing material selection, purchased component sourcing, 3D model evaluation, and weight analysis.
- Evaluate and assess existing customer designs for feasibility, performance, and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers to provide engineering support and ensure alignment on technical topics.
- Develop new designs based on existing architectures using CREO CAD software.
- Release completed 2D drawings and 3D models to PDE for approval through the Windchill PLM system.
- Generate production and customer 2D drawings in compliance with ARaymond standards and GD&T principles.
- Perform all required engineering analyses during the design development phase, including tolerance stack-up, dimensional variation analysis, and functional robustness evaluations.
- Design and develop innovative products in line with market expectations and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with the tooling team to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and deliver mold-ready 3D models, including Moldflow analysis support.
- Execute necessary 2D and 3D design modifications in line with Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes and change management procedures.
- Prepare and maintain Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documentation.
- Conduct dimensional verification and analytical assessments of designed components.
- Perform the measurement analysis of injected parts.
- Actively participate in technical meetings related to customer projects.
- Actively follow and work in alignment with the project schedule.
- Utilize CAD data management systems (Windchill) to retrieve and manage technical data of existing components
Educación y experiencia
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1-3 year of experience (preferred) in automotive product development and design processes.
- Knowledge of plastic injection and plastic part design.
- Knowledge of dimensioning and GD&T
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, especially Creo and Catia.
- Advanced verbal and written English skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
