This position will enable the APS team to develop innovative and reliable assembly solutions based on PLC and PCB-based controls according to the specific project need, what also may include a feasibility study and setup of prototype controls up to the specification for serial use. The Mechatronics Technician creates autonomously required controls from the initial idea to the final functional concept. This includes the assembly, tests and optimization of the controls or prototypes if required.

Role and responsibilities
  • You are responsible for the PLC/SPC-based controllers and are ready to plan, support and implement their use
  • Ideally you have experience with the development and construction of MC-based controls for prototypes and series tools with interface and communication to customer-side PDA systems
  • You are interested in developing technical solutions, from concept creation to series production
  • You take over parts of development / series projects as well as complete development projects in accordance with the development strategy, series project planning and implementation
  • You optimize existing systems and processes
  • Reading, understanding, and creating wiring diagrams (EPLAN)
  • You support the project manager throughout the entire project
  • You will participate in the continuous improvement process and scout for new technologies and components
  • Planning, conduction and evaluation of tests and measurements
  • Planning and controlling of projects parts or project components
  • Contact with supplier, to be the interface between team and supplier concerning electrical control and technical topics
  • Taking care of the machinery directive and preparing CE certificate
Education and experience
  • After your completed technical apprenticeship (e.g. mechatronics), with appropriate additional qualifications or a completed technical course of study, you have already gained professional experience in this field
  • You have in-depth knowledge of PLC/SPC-based controllers (Siemens, Beckhoff,...), software (WinCC, Creo, MS-Projekt,..) as well as in the areas of automation and robot technologies
Skills
  • Self-driven, well organized and detail and solution orientated
  • Team-oriented and flexible, “get it done” mindset
  • Willingness to travel for occasional customer and supplier visits
  • Project management skills (Technics & tools)
  • Ability to work on international projects
  • Fluent in German
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
