The 3D-CAD Designer is creating autonomously 3D design drawings of complex parts and assemblies from the initial idea to the final design. This includes the assembly, tests and optimization of the parts or prototypes if required. To support the project manager with reliable and innovative solutions for new advanced processes is self-evident, as well as providing necessary and relevant project information to the customer and supplier. A second part of the mission is to be responsible for prototype test, evaluation and optimization as well as planning and performing maintenance for APS-Tool and RayTOOL in accordance to customer need and timing. For upcoming APS serial project it´s mandatory to work accurate on assembly, test and final setup of the process system self-employed or in a team.

Role and responsibilities
  • Independent execution of construction works according to specifications, sketches and drafts
  • Design of manual assembly tool according to ergonomics requirement
  • Dimensional, visual and functional control of own and other drawings
  • Planning, conduction and evaluation of tests and measurements
  • Assembly and optimization of prototype assembly system
  • Assembly, test and final validation of serial system
  • Perform APS-Tool and RayTOOL maintenance, contact with customer
  • Contact with supplier, exchange of data
  • Scouting for new technologies and components
Education and experience
  • Engineer degree in general engineering/mechanics or similar or equivalent education (Experienced technicians or ambitious expert, CAD Designer)
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar position would be appreciated
Skills
  • Experience in creating 3D CAD-data-models (Creo preferred) and Office applications
  • Self-driven creation of innovative new solutions
  • Well organized and detail orientated
  • Solution oriented and professional working
  • Team-oriented and flexible
  • Willingness to travel for occasional customer and supplier visits
  • Ability to work on international projects
  • Fluent in German
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
