About the job
Perform all aspects of the Heat Treat, Plating and Coating Department, including machine operation, safety, housekeeping, etc.
Roles and responsibilities
- Load parts into hopper and set scale for proper weight, timer, and proper time.
- Set up machines when needed.
- Monitor lines for viscosity and any issues as it runs.
- Complete/perform in-process testing.
- Ensure tanks maintain needed levels of solutions.
- Basic computer skills to enter data.
- Operate Fork Truck to move product / must obtain fork truck license.
- Assist with maintenance of machines and preventative care when needed.
- Troubleshoot and inform supervisor of problems regarding equipment and materials.
- Know the dangers of storing and working with different chemicals (Hazcom) and use safe practices.
- Be generally aware of pollution laws to be familiar with pollution control equipment.
- Lifting of chemicals and products up 50lbs.
Education and experience
- High school diploma preferred, or experience or training in related field.
