Role and responsibilities
- Tool Design & Development.
- Responsible for Design & Development of new Tools (Progressive & Multislide).
- Understanding the needs of customer & incorporating it in Tool design.
- Managing team (tool design & Development) workload.
- Responsible for internal query handling/technical meeting related to new product design/development.
- Responsible for monitoring and recording quality, cost and delivery time of each new project.
- Assists the project leader to analyse & decide feasibility of the product basis on the customer request.
- Responsible for new product technical feasibility study in terms of Tool Design, DFMEA, Design review etc.
- Responsible for discussion with Tool vendors for manufacturing feasibility.
- Tool design Feature Standardization.
- Knowledge & hands on experience for Tool design with spring steel & stainless steel RM.
- Existing tool design improvement in MTBF & MTTR.
- Working closely with Industrialization team to define the process of Manufacturing.
- Responsible for Internal customer audit.
- Responsible for maintaining data for Lesson Learnt.
- Good analytical skill on problem solving method.
- Exposure to Heat Treatment process & Methods
- Exposure to Surface Plating & Coating Process & methods.
Education and experience
BE Mechanical with 5 to 7 years of experience
> Diploma (tool & die making or relevant branch) with more years of experience
> Must have Experience in automotive Tool design & development
> Work experience in – VISI is must (additional knowledge in Creo-6.0 is advantage)
