We are looking for an Assembly Methods Engineer with the following qualifications to be a valuable member of our dynamic team.
Role and responsibilities
- Propose low‑cost automation solutions to reduce operator dependency; carry out design and feasibility studies.
- Actively participate in corrective and preventive actions aimed at reducing customer and internal defect rates.
- Support technical feasibility studies for parts to be quoted in collaboration with Business Development.
- Actively contribute to process and equipment improvements in serial production; take leadership when required.
- Optimize serial production processes and equipment; identify investment needs and support the resolution of part/process issues.
- Develop PLC software (mainly Siemens and Beckhoff), manage on‑site commissioning and production ramp‑up activities.
- Program and commission robots in the production area; ensure IO‑handshake functionality and cycle time optimization.
- Respond quickly to production breakdowns on site; conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in FAT/SAT processes; manage test scenarios, acceptance criteria, documentation, backup, and version-control discipline.
- Support applications requiring a safety logic approach in accordance with EN ISO 13849.
- Contribute to Lean/Kaizen-based continuous improvement projects.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year engineering faculty.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position (preferably with automotive industry experience).
- Proficient in English.
- SAP experience.
- Knowledge of technical drawing reading.
- No travel restrictions.
- For male candidates: military service must be completed.
Skills
- Strong PLC development skills (Siemens and Beckhoff).
- Robotics programming and commissioning capabilities.
- Ability to perform feasibility studies and process optimization.
- Competence in problem solving, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Good command of MS Office programs.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in improvement and automation projects.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and EN ISO 13849 requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking and documentation discipline.
