Role and responsibilities

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

  1. Tool Design & Development.
  2. Responsible for Design & Development of new Tools (Progressive & Multi slide).
  3. Understanding the needs of customer & incorporating it in Tool design.
  4. Managing team (tool design & Development) workload.
  5. Responsible for internal query handling/technical meeting related to new product design/development. 
  6. Mentoring team member on Tool design related issues & resolving them. 
  7. Responsible for monitoring and recording quality, cost and delivery time of each new project.
  8. Assists the project leader to analyse & decide feasibility of the product basis on the customer request.
  9. Responsible for daily/weekly work planning for the project being handled.
  10. Responsible for new product technical feasibility study in terms of Tool Design, DFMEA, Design review etc.
  11. Responsible for Project documentation as per QMS & should have knowledge in APQP process.
  12. Responsible for discussion with Tool vendors for manufacturing feasibility. 
  13. Tool design Feature Standardization.
  14. Knowledge & hands on experience for Tool design with spring steel & stainless steel RM.
  15. Existing tool design improvement in MTBF & MTTR.
  16. Working closely with Industrialization team to define the process of Manufacturing. 
  17. Responsible for Internal customer audit.
  18. Responsible for maintaining data for Lesson Learnt.
  19. Good analytical skill on problem solving method.
  20. Exposure to Heat Treatment process & Methods
  21. Exposure to Surface Plating & Coating Process & methods.
  22. Coordinates with the Network companies for the design related matters and Training down the line team.
  23. Supports production team on process improvement activities to achieve best parts quality and process efficiency.
Education and experience

BE Mechanical with 5 to 7 years of experience 

> Diploma (tool & die making or relevant branch) with more years of experience

> Must have Experience in automotive Tool design & development 

> Work experience in – VISI  is must (additional knowledge in  Creo-6.0 is advantage)
