START-UP LEADER (m/w/d) Focus Business Development

Based at APS, a subsidiary of the Center of Innovation of ARaymond, you will be working in a start-up like entity developing and providing Assembly Process Solutions.
You will be coordinating a team of highly skilled technical experts and develop and implement business cases, generate business plans, perform value analysis and assess addressable markets based on data you and your team will be collecting at customers. Together with the technical team you will derive and implement a portfolio strategy.
You will shape the project team’s view on the business development mind-set.

Role and responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the APS activities with a special focus on business development activities
  • Provide business data to assess the success of the start-up
  • Responsibility for collaboration with all involved ARaymond entities worldwide
  • Investigate new business models opportunities and work on their implementation
  • Internal & External Networking
  • Close collaboration with ARaymond front line and the customers
  • Translate customers information into price targets (Design to Value)
  • Be a link between the technical & legal teams and the business development communities
  • Support the vision of business development mind-set within the company
  • Create a business development structure for all APS activities
  • Ensure collaboration with ARaymond product development
  • Create a good team spirit, ensure the development of all team members and live the start-up spirit and prepare the next steps

Education and experience

  • Industrial engineering and management (German: “Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen”), business experience or degree with basic technical understanding
  • 5 to 10 years of experience of business development in the field of mechanical engineering / automation
  • Project management in mechanical engineering / automation applications
  • Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry would be appreciated


  • Strong knowledge in Business development activities (Business case formulation, Business plan definition, Business model generation, value analysis)
