This position is responsible for all phases of the product development process. Developing the next generation of cleaning systems for cameras, sensors and windshield cleaning but furthermore all cleaning systems related to mobility and autonomous driving.

Rôle et responsabilités

  • Interface with the customer to fully understand their needs and requirements for new and/or improved cleaning system products
  • Provide technical support to the BD-Team
  • Provide engineering support to Program Management and the APQP process
  • Manage assigned Project from G-3 to G-0
  • Develop design proposals that meet the customer’s requirements
  • Validate new Washer Nozzles through performance testing on prototype or similar parts
  • Validate and develop new Cleaning systems for Radar, Lidar and camera and sensor cleaning
  • Generate all required documentation (DFM, DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.)
  • Review customer RFQ’s, confirm acceptability of dimensions, tolerances and material selections
  • Communicate with the customer to update them on current status and technical issues regarding projects that are in the APQP system
  • PCP Management, supporting SE-Team(V2) generate/update timeline (I-Planet) from
    Gate1 through Gate3 in MS Project
  • Maintain/update information into Windchill(V1)
  • Lead the effort on all Engineering Changes (E/C) required for improved performance, to address manufacturing concerns or to validate alternate materials
  • Assist with any quality issues on current production parts including our response to customer concerns/complaints with part performance
  • Maintain relationships with engineering organizations of our customers, suppliers and OEM’s
  • Track the status of all assigned projects and provide updates as requested
  • Collaborate with RayCE
  • Supporting Global Cleaning system activities if needed
  • Performing and supporting cleaning system test at our Customer
  • Handle other Engineering activities that are assigned by Engineering Management

Études et expérience

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials or Plastics preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience with a strong knowledge of engineering concepts and principals related to plastic components used in the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience or formal training necessary to create all required documentation (DFM, DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.).
  • Experienced about Plastic Injection Molding
  • Knowledge about Washer Nozzle Design studies (Static, Dynamic)
  • Knowledge about Mobility and Autonomous driving systems
  • Knowledge about different Plastic Material grades
  • Knowledge about  Nozzles, Fluid Nozzles
  • Knowledge about FMVSS 104(Laboratory Test  Procedure)
  • Basic understanding about Fluidic/Hydraulic Physics

Compétences

  • Some graduate study or comparable experience preferred
  • Prior experience with plastic and/or metal fasteners used in the automotive industry
