We are looking for an experienced Engineer in Mold Development who will be accountable for complete Mold Industrialization, concept reviews with product designers, mold makers & process engineers to get inline with customer requirements. This position will be ultimately responsible for the smooth Development & running of Mold and the quality of output. Require knowledge in Injection Moulds, Troubleshooting & supplier handling & Monitoring. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part in a day

Rôle et responsabilités


  • Estimate project cost for new molds or revisions to existing molds. Provide estimates on lead times, design hours, build hours, debug hours and material requirements
  • Responsible to procure design & build of injection molds/ mold components on time and within budget
  • Conduct mold design and construction review meetings with product engineers, manufacturing engineers, mold makers, mold designers etc.,
  • Lead team efforts with Project engineers and process engineers to create mold design specifications for new molds
  • Actively participate in product design reviews and mold process FMEA meetings insuring opportunities to improve the molding of the product are reviewed
  • Provide direction and input to resolve mold design, and construction issues as they arise during the mold development process
  • Review quality information and physical molded piece parts with product and quality engineering to disposition layouts in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the trial & transfer of qualified molds to the manufacturing plant
  • Research new plastic materials and other technologies related to injection molding, insert molding to continuously improve our manufacturing methods
  • Participate in the investigation, development, and qualification of new mold tooling design, build and molding production suppliers
  • Support ATOMS, IATF/QS programs by following approved policies and procedures
  • Serve as a contributing member reviewing molding issues on teams as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
  • Extensive knowledge of molding manufacturing processes and mold construction details
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all level of the organization
  • Proficient word processing, spreadsheet and CAD PC computer skills
  • Project management skills to set goals and priorities in order to complete projects in a systematic and timely manner
  • Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make necessary corrections
  • Mathematical ability to perform calculations for volumes, weights, shrink, draft and dimensions accurately
  • Startup and operation of injection molding presses, controls, and associated equipment
  • Knowledge of key mold fabrication processes (grinding, EDM, polishing & assembly)
  • Molding process know how.
  • Mold Trouble shooting Knowledge
  • Willing to Travel
  • Able to work under time pressure

Études et expérience

  • Work experience require in Creo, Unigraphics, MS Office ,hot runner systems & Trouble shooting, preferred from Tooling background
  • Diploma in Tool & Die making with experience of 6 to 10 years
